The Great Southwest Council BSA has a proven track record of shaping youth into people of outstanding character – people who understand the meaning of accountability and the importance of servant leadership. On GivingTuesday, November 28, 2017, we’re continuing that record by helping Scouts become the leaders of the future. By supporting local Scouting, you will have a profound impact on our neighborhoods, communities, New Mexico, and America.

Make a gift of $25 to honor a Scout, a Scout leader, an Eagle Scout, or a favorite camp staff member. You can also give more… all contributions are greatly appreciated. All donations are tax-deductible and support local Scouting.

The volunteer Executive Board of the Great Southwest Council BSA is committed to supporting Scouting on GivingTuesday. Collectively, they have pledged to match dollar for dollar the first $1,250 in donations on Tuesday, November 28. Double the value of your gift by making a donation toward this goal.

What Is GivingTuesday?

GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Observed on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving in the US and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.
