Please join us for the Report to the State on Scouting in New Mexico at the State Legislature in Santa Fe on Thursday, January 25. We will be joined by representatives of Conquistador and Yucca Councils as well. Colorado and Arizona Scouts from our Council are also welcome to attend.

Boy Scouts will be helping to present the colors at the opening of the daily sessions in both the New Mexico House and Senate, where resolutions recognizing the contributions of Boy Scouts of America to our great state will be presented.

Eagle Scouts in attendance from the Eagle Class of 2017 will receive special recognition. This is a great honor for those who are able to attend. We will also ask all Eagle Scouts, youth and adults, to stand and recite the Scout Oath together.

Other planned activities will be visits with state legislators, a tour of the Capitol, and a visit to the Governor's office, if her schedule allows.

Please contact Mary Mazza-Andersen at to RSVP and for more information on the event. She will email you the schedule for the day and a letter to give to your school requesting an excused absent. Scouts wanting to participate or observe the presentations in the House and Senate need to be at the State Capitol by 9:00am.
