Great Southwest Council area Packs; are you ready for Girl Dens?

Cub Scout Girl Dens will be able to officially sign up starting Now!

Use the following check list to make sure your Pack is ready...

Steps to get your Pack Ready to accept Girl Den"s

1. Pack Leadership needs to meet with the Charter Rep and Institutional Head of their Chartering Organization to make sure everyone agrees on accepting Girl Dens (Dens may NOT be co-ed)

2. Make sure your BeAScout PIN is up to date and listed as “Dens for Boys or Girls”   (my.scouting.org)

3. Just like with fall recruitment, be ready to recruit Den Leaders for your Girl Dens. Your Pack’s New Member Coordinator can assist with getting your new Scouts and their parents onboard!

4. Attend Family Scouting Training to receive more information and helpful hints!

Family Scouting Best Practices: August 11th, 2018   10am to Noon at the Council Office.

Targeted Training:  September 15th, 2018   TBA

5. New “Scout Me In” recruitment materials are now available! Be sure to Contact Mary Mazza-Anderson at the Council office! If you have any questions or need help in any way, please contact Mary.

You can also go to scouting.org/familyscouting for all the latest updates and information.

Helpful Documents!

These documents can help you plan your requirements around your activities.  If you have multi level Dens, as many of us will experience in the beginning, these documents can help you plan Den meetings and Activities.
